Daily Mail: Wow, she can go fast at Sandown Park

Wow She’s Fast has been the talk of greyhound racing since her 27.5-length debut win at Sandown Park on Sunday and she should remain undefeated after today’s 515m Maiden final.

The time of 29.09sec run by Wow She’s Fast is now the fastest-ever 515m time recorded by a maiden winner at Sandown Park and the prospect of running in the TAB Melbourne Cup series and securing a TAB Phoenix slot has already been proposed.

Wow She’s Fast is the most exciting prospect at Sandown Park and later on the card, G3 winner Five Star (3 of last 4 – 41.32 sec PB) will aim to showcase his staying prowess.

Vayda Bale v Do Good Davlin (3 of last 6) v G1 finalists Lakeview Cruiser and Nihari Bale (29.23sec PB) should provide a strong battle, along with dual Group finalist It’s My Party v Carry On Liam v G3 placegetter Bounce Back v G1 finalist Persian Goddess (won last 3).

The Mixed 4/5 515m race features G3 finalist Lala Ivory, Xavien Bale (29.22sec PB), Yohan Bale (2 of last 3) and G2 finalist Got The Torque (29.31sec PB), while Trending Rookie v Zipping Sense (9 from 22 – 4 from 5 Box 8) and Rear View Mirror v Boston Garden (3 from 6) promise to be great duels.

Hamillson (3 from 5 Trk/Dst), Lakeview Bonnie (5 from 9 – 3 from 3 Box 2) and G3 runner-up Enter The Son (10 from 24 – 2 from 2 Box 1) are all highly fancied by The Watchdog.

In the Tier 3 meetings, Mr. Dazzling and Slippery Swan should both register their first career wins this morning at Shepparton, while Ken’s Crew should dominate at Warragul tonight.

Aston Mireya (3 from 8 Trk/Dst) and Angus Rhode (4 from 10 Trk/Dst – 21.74sec PB) feature in tonight’s 390m Free For All at Warrnambool, while G2 finalists Aston Titan (6 of last 8 – 5 from 8 Box 1) and Jarick Bale (2 from 5 Box 7) are both tipped to triumph.

The Watchdog says
?: WOW SHE’S FAST (2) burst onto the scene with a breathtaking 29.09sec debut win here last Sunday and she appears set to take the racing world by storm. Her first two sectionals were dazzling with the middle section of 18.47sec getting into Simon Told Helen territory. She did spear the lids on debut and sometimes youngsters can miss the start second time around, so hopefully she can step well again and with natural improvement she could press the 29 seconds barrier today. We may be getting a little ahead of ourselves but with the TAB Melbourne Cup Carnival fast approaching and the inaugural running of the TAB Phoenix, she could have a busy couple of months ahead. ASTON WISE (4) and HARLEY RYDER (5) appear to be the main dangers if any today. ‘Harley’ was an impressive 29.68sec debut winner and he went through the first marker in 5.13sec, so with another good getaway, he can figure in the money. ASTON WISE (4) showed slick early speed when placed behind ‘Harley’ in her heat and she will be much better for the run, so with a clear passage, she can turn the tables on him and fill the quinella spot behind her kennelmate.

The Watchdog says
? : WOW SHE’S FAST (2) is unbackable, so she is a good anchor up front in exotics. ASTON WISE (4) will be better for the run here last week, so she looks a good prospect to fill second spot. HARLEY RYDER (5) is the obvious choice for third, however we have included some extra runners in the hope of securing some value.

? $1 Win – ZIPPING VERNON     ? Lucky Longshot ?
? Sandown Park ? Race 5 ? Box 3 ? 515m ⏱ 4:47pm
TAB fixed odds: $10 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539009/race/5

The Watchdog says
? : This bloke has a monster engine and with the abundance of pace drawn inside, he should be able to get a nice trail through at the first bend and he can really get into his work mid race. He will need a few things to go his way, however he is worth a nibble at that price.

? $3.50 Win – REAR VIEW MIRROR
? Sandown Park ? Race 10 ? Box 1 ? 515m ⏱ 6:30pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.80 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539009/race/10

The Watchdog says
? : Two runs back he turned in a big performance when placed here behind the classy Envy To Burn. On that occasion, he was posted wide for most of the journey and had to work hard throughout, however he still powered to the line and the run was ultra-impressive. He exited box six on that occasion and he headed to the rail in the initial stages, so from the red draw today, he should be able to hold a forward spot at the bend and he will prove too strong in the run home.

TAB fixed odds: $1.40 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539010/race/6

The Watchdog says
? : ON THE AIR (2) is far better than her form indicates and with the red expected to lead, she should get a nice run through in the middle stages and she will be very strong in the run home. ASTON TITAN (1) was brilliant in his heat win last week and he is drawn to make every post a winner again.
