The Watchdog says ?: Shepparton 450m track record holder MR. AUDACIOUS (1) really is something special and from the inside draw there should be no excuses. There isn’t a lot of natural early pace drawn on his outside, so with an even getaway, he should be able to light them up soon after box rise, and he will rattle the clock tonight.
‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:
They took each other on in the Group 2 Shepparton Cup series and the ledger is one apiece between MR. AUDACIOUS (1) and ROBBIE ROTTEN (7). The Shepparton Cup heat was the most exciting battle as they both gained a clear passage and MR. AUDACIOUS – the new kid on the block – was just too brilliant mid race. He has come up with the ‘red’ tonight and he looks poised to make his second Group 2 final and he could capture another track record along the way. ROBBIE ROTTEN was beaten fair and square in their Shepparton Cup heat clash but he was far from disgraced and if the red happens to make a mistake at box rise tonight, he could turn the tables. He has slow beginners on either side, so he should get plenty of room early and he will keep the pressure on throughout. BAROOGA SMOKE (2) is capable of causing an upset if the two main fancies are bumping up front.
