The Watchdog says ?: Very even affair and I think GYPSY YANKEE (4) and ASTON ULYSSES (6) appear to be value. There is very little pace engaged inside, so if both of them can step on terms, they should head to the back in first and second and one of them could get the cash.

Group 1 Brisbane Cup champion EQUALIZER (1) probably hasn’t been at his dynamic best in recent months; however, he is still up to this level, and he exits his favourite draw tonight. There is an even amount of pace on his outside, so a clean getaway can see him enter the bend in the top four and if he can avoid bother, he will make his presence felt. Group 2 Launceston Cup placegetter KING OF CALYPSO (3) was simply enormous at Sandown Park last time and a clear passage early should see him hit the scoreboard again. Last time out, he gave the explosive Group 1 Sapphire Crown runner-up LET’S WIN COIN a big head start in the middle stages, but once he got into the clear, he chewed into the deficit and roared to the line. DO IT (7) is a Group 1 Adelaide Cup winner, but he has been lacking confidence of late and he would probably prefer a rails draw. With a keen railer drawn directly on his outside, he will need a few things to go his way.
