The Watchdog says ?: Group 1 Topgun champion ASTON RUPEE (4) is surprisingly well drawn in the middle and if he can step evenly, he should get a nice run through at the bend. If he can head to the back in the top four, he should be able to power over the top of them in the closing stages.

The champ ASTON RUPEE (4) looks poised to capture his second Group 1. There is an abundance of early speed drawn inside and that should allow him to get a dream run through at the bend. He has been luckless in a number of finals; however, this could be the beginning of a big three weeks. KINSON BALE (1) was placed in the Group 1 Melbourne Cup final, and he is drawn to get the gun run tonight. IDOLIZE (2) is likely to cross him initially, however KINSON BALE does have terrific muster and he should be able to put the pressure on as they head through the bend. Group 1 Silver Chief winner ZIPPY TESLA (7) will need some luck early but if they bunch in front, he will be very strong in the run home.
