If Group 1 Silver Chief runner-up COMPLIANCE (1) can hold a prominent spot early, KINSON BALE should get a nice run through mid-race and be there to strike as they turn for home.
‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:
Every edition of this race is always strong; however, this year’s final is at another level. COMPLIANCE (1) was narrowly beaten by ZIPPY TESLA in the Group 1 Silver Chief final, and he was brilliant in his 25.10sec heat win last Wednesday night. He has come up with the inside draw and if he can step away cleanly, he may be able to hold the top at the bend and he’ll take some catching. PADDY WANTS PATS (8) lit up the clock in his heat and he is a tremendous talent, however from the wide draw he’ll have to work hard in the initial stages, and he can’t afford to give any of these chasers a start. MEPUNGA MUSTANG (7) captured the Warrnambool Derby recently and he continues to go to another level each week. KINSON BALE (2) and BOSTON GARDEN (4) are both star chasers and must be respected.
