‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

It’s only a Grade 5 race, but we see one of the state’s most promising and in-form provincial sprinters MATT’S HOPE (7) go around. He had always shown plenty of ability, however he has gone to another level in recent weeks with a scorching 23.48sec Bendigo win and 25.09sec Shepparton win. There is very limited early pace in this event, so he should be able to pounce on the lead soon after box rise and a sub 25.70sec run could be on the cards. SPRING SCOUT (5) and GUTTER STOMPER (8) are both capable types and they should battle for the minor money.
