The Watchdog says ?: LALA KIWI (1) hasn’t had a lot of luck recently and she is expected to fire from the good draw. Most of her recent racing has been done over 500m, however earlier in her career, she carved out some blistering wins over 400m to 450m. With a clean getaway tonight, she should be able to hold the top early and score.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

Eight stellar heats of the Group 2 Traralgon Cup and this heat features Group 1 Melbourne Cup runner-up LALA KIWI (1). She has been luckless since the world’s greatest greyhound race having only won one of her past six. However, she has come up with the inside draw and she should get every chance to return to the winners list. Most of her racing has been done over 500m of late, however earlier in her career, she did carve out some blistering wins on the provincial circuit over this distance range. ASTON MERIT (8) is a star on the rise, and this is his ideal distance range. His box manners can let him down at times, but he is armed with an unrivalled turn of foot. DREAM WIZARD (2) is always a factor in these types of races, while MAXWELL (3) has turned in some great performances of late.

Form ?

The Watchdog’s selections: 1 – 8 – 2 – 3

? $5.50 Place – MAJOR BANDIT

Form ?

The Watchdog says
? : He is much better than his form indicates, and he can show terrific mid-race pace in his races. There is a bit of pace inside, however the small line-up will help and if he can avoid bother through the bend, he should be able to run home into a top-two finish.
