Daily Mail: Hennessey eyeing Warragul Cup success

G3 Provincial Plate winner Hennessey is favoured to claim his 10th victory from his last 11 starts in tonight’s $47,000 to-the-winner G2 SEN Track Warragul Cup final, but there are plenty of contenders including G2 Laurels placegetter Gypsy Bun, G1 Melbourne Cup placegetter Kinson Bale and G1 Silver Chief placegetter Titan Blazer.

Brother Bearing (won five of his last six) and G1 Silver Chief finalist Xavien Bale clash in the $10,000 winner-take-all Cup Night Match Race, while Sir Harley v Gunai Rebel and Kanji Giant v Pink Diamond finalist Gypsy Yankee v Quintana Bale should be terrific battles.

At Bendigo this afternoon, Devine Empress is racing for the first time since contesting the G2 Laurels final, while G1 Silver Chief finalist It’s Only Money is lining up at Geelong this evening.

? $4 Multi

First
?:
Place – WHITE FLOWER
? Bendigo ? Race 10 ? Box 7 ? 425m ⏱ 5:19pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.65 Place (Top two finish required)
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539969/race/10

Second
?: Place – UNATHI BALE
? Geelong ? Race 10 ? Box 8 ? 400m ⏱ 10:18pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.40 Place (Top two finish required)
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539967/race/10

The Watchdog says
? : WHITE FLOWER (7) is armed with a terrific turn of foot, and she will be suited by the smaller line-up. She meets a good one in MATT’S HOPE (2), however if she does everything right early, she can finish in the top two. UNATHI BALE (8) is armed with blistering mid race, and he is drawn to get all the breaks early on. KEPAL (4) will be tough to beat but at worst he should be able to finish in the top two.

Multi price:
$2.31

First
?:
Win – BROTHER BEARING
? Warragul ? Race 4 ? Box 1 ? 460m ⏱ 8:08pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.60 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/741679400/race/4

Second
?: Place – GYPSY YANKEE
? Warragul ? Race 7 ? Box 3 ? 460m ⏱ 9:08pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.70 Place (Top two finish required)
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/741679400/race/7

The Watchdog says
? : It’s going to be a thrilling match race; however, I think the box draw gives BROTHER BEARING (1) the edge. GYPSY YANKEE (3) has been a couple of lengths off his best of late, however he did show good early burn in a heat of the Warragul Cup and he should find this event a tad easier.

Multi price:
$2.72

? $2 Win – TITAN BLAZER

? Must Watch Race ?

Group 2 SEN Track Warragul Cup Final

? Warragul ? Race 8
? Box 8 ? 460m ⏱ 9:27pm

TAB fixed odds: $5 Win

The Watchdog says ?: TITAN BLAZER (8) was recently placed in the Group 1 Silver Chief final, and he was a dominant 25.58sec heat winner here last Friday night. There is a bit of pace underneath, however that should allow him to get a nice cart into the race and he will be powering to the line.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

Cracking final and fastest qualifier HENNESSEY (2) deserves to be favourite. He went 6.40sec through the first marker in his brilliant heat win and a repeat of that will see him make a big impact again. TITAN BLAZER (8) is the intriguing runner. He was placed in the Group 1 Silver Chief final, and he carved out a blistering 25.58sec from this draw here last Friday night. With plenty of pace drawn inside, he should get a nice cart across. ROBBIE ROTTEN (5) has been electric since moving to Victoria and if he times the start, he can figure in the finish, while Group 1 Melbourne Cup placegetter KINSON BALE (4) just needs a little room early. ULTIMATE AVENGER (6) is the rank outsider; however, he can ping the lids at times, and he can cause a boilover.
