Daily Mail: Super sprinters on show

Healesville will host a cracking Super Sprint Final this afternoon with reigning Healesville Cup winner Zambora Lou (21 from 48) up against Hello George, arguably the best performed greyhound at the track in recent months.

Hello George has won 16 from 29 (55%) across his career, while his recent form is even more impressive, winning seven of his past nine, with those runs all up the Yarra Valley straight. Read more

The likes of Pirates Patch (23 wins) and ex-Tassie star Silver Man (10 from 26) must also be respected.

Below is a snapshot of some of the key highlights to watch out for today around Victoria, and be sure to scroll down further below for ? The Watchdog’s $10 spend

The expert form analyst has been tracking along nicely, recording a 23% profit over the past seven days.

? MUST-WATCH RACE: Super Sprint Final

ZAMBORA LOU
? HELLO GEORGE ? PIRATES PATCH ? BLACKPOOL ASTRO

? Healesville ? Race 8 ? 350m 1:09pm

Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565960162/race/8

The Watchdog says ?: ZAMBORA LOU (2) is the reigning Healesville Cup champ and he returned to form with a dazzling 19.17sec heat win here last week. He went through the first marker in a scorching 6.50sec in his heat, and with five wins from seven attempts from this draw he appears poised to win again. HELLO GEORGE (5) is the current king of Healesville with 11 wins from 16 attempts over this track/distance and he is normally quite reliable at box rise, so with a little bit of room initially he can settle in the top three and make his presence felt. PIRATES PATCH (6) is the interesting runner. She was well beaten in her heat by the top elect, however she has been airborne in recent months and I think she can improve on her heat performance. BLACKPOOL ASTRO (8) is probably drawn the wrong side of the track, but he has turned in some super performances since resuming a few months back and if he can get across early he may cause a minor upset.

The Watchdog says ? : GIANT’S FLASH (1) runs into a couple of handy ones, but he has a big motor and he should get plenty of cover from COLLABORATION (2) in the early stages so a top three finish looks likely. BLACKPOOL FLASH (3) is near faultless early, and he should be leading throughout. CALL ME CHLOE (2) will appreciate the small line-up and I expect her to hold the lead at the bend and score. AUBAMEYANG (8) was brilliant in her heat win and from pink alley she will get plenty of room to balance up and assume control at the first turn.

Multi price: $4.24

? $4 Place – ALSO ARANDT
? Healesville ? Race 5 ? Box 8 ? 350m ⏱ 12.13pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.60 Place
Form ?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565960162/race/5

The Watchdog says ?: ALSO ARANDT (8) has always done his best racing here and from a favourable draw he should experience a trouble free run throughout. The favourite PERFECT CRIPPA (7) is expected to lead and move to the middle of the track, which should cart ALSO ARANDT into the race and give him every opportunity to hold on to a top three finish.

? $1 Trifecta – 2 / 6 / 3,5,8,9 (25%)
? $1 Trifecta – 2 / 3,5,8,9 / 6 (25%)
? Healesville ? Race 8 ? 350m ⏱ 1:09pm                 ***Must Watch Race***
Form ?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565960162/race/8

The Watchdog says ?: ZAMBORA LOU (2) was back to his brilliant best last week and he should be scoring. PIRATES PATCH (6) is racing in career best form, and she can work into second or third spot, and hopefully we can find some value with the other placegetter.
