The Watchdog says ? : It is the Inaugural running of the 25K to the winner Horizon and what a line-up we have. Country cups king FERDINAND BOY (2) went through the first marker in a breathtaking 5.17sec before qualifying fastest with a dashing 24.60sec heat win last week. He has gone up favourite and rightly so, however with the abundance of early speed in this event, he cannot afford to make any mistakes at box rise. DR. TUCKER (8) has been electric since returning to the track and he was incredibly game when winning his heat last week. From the outside draw he will get every chance to balance up and he may get the fly as they negotiate the first bend. DREAM WIZARD (1) just continues to perform well at the elite level, and he was big in his heat last week. He has a great record from this draw and is capable of leading or coming from off the pace in his races, so he could be the value runner. AUSSIE SECRET (3) was brilliant in defeat last week and he will have plenty of admirers, however he does like to push wide soon after box rise and there will be plenty of heat from out wide initially. The pressure will be through the roof as they head into the first bend, and it should be a keenly contested final throughout.

TAB fixed odds: $1.35

The Watchdog says ? : BLACKPOOL ASTRO (2) should follow track specialist HELLO GEORGE (1) through in the initial stages and they should fight out the finish. WHODAT DIVA (7) is an improving type and with the smaller line-up she should gain a clear passage throughout with a top two finish looking likely. OSPREY PHANTOM (1) is skinny odds, but he should pounce on the lead and he is a serious prospect.

Multi price: $4.81

? ? ?: 2,8

? ? ? ?: 1,2,3,4

The Watchdog says ? : HAMILLSON (2) and TIME TO ROLL (4) are expected to lead the first leg but SHANLYN KIM (3) is racing with confidence and will charge home late, so we need to take all three runners. RIDGE (6) is a genuine jet, and he looks the goods in the second leg. MIGHTY MARVIN (2) comes into the third leg nice and fresh, and he should match motors with CALL ME CHLOE (8) for most of the journey. The last leg is incredibly open, and the inside division should hold up through the first turn. If so, the favourite, drawn in box six, will have a tough time of it. So, we are taking the inside four runners and hoping for some value.

? ? ? ?: 1,2,8

The Watchdog says ? : The first leg has all the speed drawn in the middle and outside, so I am expecting the outside division to dominate the race. ZIPPING ZARBO (8) was far from disgraced here last week and she is expected to make amends tonight and looks a good anchor. JAYVILLE TUXEDO (1) and WEST OF WESTEROS (2) are drawn to control the third leg, however ZIPPING CAVIAR (4) is a talented type and could add some value to the quaddie. The last leg is the main event, and I am very keen on DR. TUCKER (8), however DREAM WIZARD (1) and FERDINAND BOY (2) are both flying at present and need to be included.

? $2 Win – DR. TUCKER
? Sale ? Race 8 ? Box 8 ? 440m ⏱ 6:59pm    ***Must Watch Race***
TAB fixed odds: $3.30 Win

Form ?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565960184/race/8

The Watchdog says ? : He obviously faces some elite opposition tonight, but he has been enormous since resuming and he turned in a gutsy performance to win his heat. He has scorching pace once he hits the ground and with no runner drawn on his outside, he should get plenty of room to balance up and could assume control as they head into the bend. I think he has the potential to go sub 24.50sec when in the clear and a victory tonight would be his first big statement since returning from injury.
