? MUST-WATCH RACE: Pink Diamond Champion Sprinter Heat 2
FABRIOLA ZAD ? SHIMA SHINE ? GYPSY YANKEE

? Ballarat? Race 8 ? 450m 7:43pm

Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/625474486/race/8

The Watchdog says ?: With the rich Pink Diamond Series really starting to hit its stride, today is one of the best days of racing you will ever see in Victoria with star performers strutting their stuff across numerous races and tracks. This race, however features the country’s premier sprinter in SHIMA SHINE (6), and he returns to one of his favourite tracks. He has won five of six this track/distance and he held the 450m track record at one point. He has been a little inconsistent of late due to his poor box manners, however he showed he is still at his peak with a breathtaking 29.00sec Sandown Park win. There is a bit of speed drawn on his outside, but GYPSY YANKEE (7) should clear him early and that will allow the champ to balance up and really get into his work. With an ounce of luck, he can get the job done. The ‘Yankee’ has returned to his brilliant best in recent weeks, and he should make his highly decorated kennelmate work overtime for victory. He recorded a sizzling 6.49sec to the first marker before stopping the clock in a slick 25.08sec when winning here two weeks back and a similar performance tonight can see him hit the scoreboard. FABRIOLA ZAD (5) rounds out the big three in this event and although he relies on a lot of luck in running, if his two more fancied kennel mates happen to make a mistake early, he should be there to capitalise in the middle stages. ROBIN’S CHOICE (3) and INSTRUCTION (4) are both racing well and are highly talented types, however they have been thrown in the deep end tonight.
Be sure to strap yourself in for a huge day of racing with so many big clashes in the Pink Diamond Series at Ballarat and Warragul.

The Watchdog says ? : MICKEY BLUE EYES (2) showed some talent here last week and he should get a dream run through behind the red early, and he can run a drum at nice odds. TYLER DURDEN (1) is racing over his ideal distance range, and he is expected to lead from go to whoa. SPEED STAR (8) looks very well graded tonight and should notch up career win number 46.

TAB fixed odds: $1.65 Win

Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565960197/race/12

The Watchdog says ? : TIGGERLONG TONK (2) is just all class and should be leading throughout in this event. OMEGA TYSON (2) was a little unlucky in his heat last week and he is expected to make amends tonight and a top three finish looks likely. Race 9 is an open affair, so we have bundled up a few runners. WEBLEC EAGLE (1) makes his return to the track in Race 12 and he recently lit up Geelong in a trial, so he is expected to fire fresh, and he has a fair bit on his rivals talent wise.

Multi price: $4.93

? $2 Place – HE SHALL BLITZ
? Sandown Park ? Race 5 ? Box 5 ? 515m ⏱ 7:37pm
TAB fixed odds: $4 Place (top two finish required)
Form ?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565960197/race/5

The Watchdog says ? : He is always an ideal place bet over this track/distance. YOZO BALE (2) is expected to lead and there is an even amount of pace behind him and I would expect there to be some shuffling, so that should allow HE SHALL BLITZ (5) to balance up and use his powerful finishing burst to run home into a top two finish.

? $2 Place – FABRIOLA ZAD
? Ballarat ? Race 8 ? Box 5 ? 450m ⏱ 7:46pm           ***Must Watch Race***
TAB fixed odds: $3.20 Place (top two finish required)
Form https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/625474486/race/8

The Watchdog says ? : He takes on her two high profile kennel mates, however he is a star in his own right, and he can carve out time from off the speed. He is going to need a little luck in the early stages; however, ROBIN’S CHOICE (3) has terrific early speed, and he will make the outside division work had for the lead and that should allow FABRIOLA ZAD (5) to have the last shot at them and he can charge into the top two in the closing stages.
