First
?:
Win – ASTON KOMUNI
? Ballarat ? Race 3 ? Box 3 ? 450m ⏱ 7:38pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.40 Win

Second
?: Place – WELL GROUNDED
? Ballarat ? Race 10 ? Box 8 ? 390m ⏱ 10:12pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.10 Place
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/774360132/race/10

The Watchdog says
? : ASTON KOMUNI (3) has really elevated her game of late with three devastating Warragul wins in her past four runs and if she can repeat her 6.44sec first section last time out, she should be able to pounce on the lead and score again. WELL GROUNDED (8) is ideally drawn out wide and with FERNANDO BLUEY (7) expected to carve across and lead, he will get a nice cart across early, and he will be very strong in the run home, so a top-three finish is on the cards.

Multi price: $5.04

? $7 Win – PANAMA CANAL

? Must Watch Race ?

Group Listed Pink Diamond Champion Sprinter Final

? Ballarat ? Race 8
? Box 6 ? 450m ⏱ 9:28pm

TAB fixed odds: $3.20 Win

The Watchdog says ?: PANAMA CANAL (6) was beaten by FERDINAND BOY (1) at Shepparton; however, he did lose momentum mid-race. With a keen railer drawn inside and a slow beginner on his outside, he will get every chance to balance up and burn them off at the bend. He should be able to pinch two lengths on the country cups king and that could be telling.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

The champion FERDINAND BOY (1) will get every chance to add a Pink Diamond to his already impressive CV which features four country cups. He has a terrific record here and with a slow beginner directly on his outside, he should get every chance to settle in the top two. PANAMA CANAL (6) is the new kid on the block and he is my tip to spoil to the party. Although beaten at Shepparton, his performance was huge, and he did win 12 on the trot before that. With a keen railer drawn on his inside and a slow beginner on his outside, he will get every chance to balance up and he is armed with an unrivalled turn of foot. REVOLUTION (5) has returned to racing in fine style with two wins from four starts with the latest victory at Warragul in a slashing 25.67sec. EL CAZADOR (2) caused a boilover in his heat at Geelong and RUFIANO (4) was enormous in his heat at Warragul.
