The champion ASTON RUPEE (3) obliterated a star line-up when capturing his second Group 1 in the TAB Temlee here last Saturday night and he will be looking to advance to another big final. He hasn’t been done any favours as he has to contend with Group 1 Melbourne Cup runner-up LALA KIWI (2) and multiple Group-race winner QWARA BALE (1). ‘Qwara’ and ‘Lala’ are expected to hold the lead and dictate terms, and if ‘Rupee’ can step like he did last Saturday night, he should be able to put himself into contention as they navigate the bend, and he will prove hard to hold out. BOSTON GARDEN (6) and HEBRIDEAN BLACK (8) both have massive engines and are desperate for the inside, so if they manage to find the fence early, they could cause an upset.
