How to spend $50 on TAB’s ‘All In’ Australian Cup market

The ‘world’s fastest greyhound’, Aston Rupee, dominates ‘All In’ betting for the Group 1 TAB Australian Cup at The Meadows and rightfully so, given his spellbinding Group 1 Temlee triumph last Saturday night.

Trained by Glenn Rounds, Aston Rupee is ultimately chasing his third Group 1 victory after winning the Topgun in November last year.

Expert form analyst The Watchdog says, “he’s gone up favourite at $3.50 and he deserves to be favourite, but probably not that short though”.

“Last week, he was tremendous in the Temlee. He put himself into the race early, pushed up outside on the first turn and then it was just a matter of times and margins.”

But The Watchdog adds, “they haven’t done him any favours on Saturday night”. “He’s come up against Qwara Bale and Lala Kiwi (in Race 7).

“To take $3.50 when you’ve got to win a heat and final, it’s pretty short for mine. But we know he can do it.”

“I think Immunity just has to win (her heat) … If she draws the ‘red’ in the final, all of a sudden she’s a $4 chance.”

New South Wales star Jungle Deuce, Paddy Wants Pats and Titan Blazer are on the second line of betting at $8, with ‘Paddy’ and Jungle Deuce lining up in the same heat (Race 8).

“I don’t think Jungle Deuce is going to get into the race from box six. He does take a few strides to get going.

“Paddy Wants Pats was enormous at Ballarat at his past two. We know he can do it in town.

“He’s put the time on the board at both Sandown Park and The Meadows. And he is reliable early, so he’s a tremendous chance at $8.”

The Watchdog’s $50 spend

$20 on Titan Blazer to win at $8
$15 on True Collinda to win at $15
$15 on Immunity to win at $18

Fifty Dollar Note

The form guru is “very keen” on Titan Blazer.

“He goes around in Race 9… He should get every chance from the ‘red’ (Box 1).

“I think he’ll lead, he’s on the up and this is his chance to really capture a big one.”

The Watchdog also says, “you’ve got to look at the Jason Thompson-trained runners”.

“He pretty much won Tattslotto with the heats. He’s drawn box one with Immunity, True Collinda and Typhoon Sammy.

“I think Immunity just has to win; she’s a mad railer. She’ll get through and if she draws the ‘red’ in the final, all of a sudden she’s a $4 chance.

“You’re getting $18 about her, which I think is a really good price.”

And The Watchdog “can’t get over the price” of True Collinda (initially $26 but crunched into $15).

“She’s been enormous since resuming. All True Collinda has to do is hold the line and she’ll be able to go to work mid-race.”
