G1 Sale Cup winner Jarick Bale faces Invictus Rising and G1 Hume Cup runner-up Mepunga Warrior in the $15,000 to-the-winner Group Listed Maidment Memorial.

WEBLEC JET (2) is expected to fire to the early lead, however he will push wide through the bend and that should give her plenty of cover in the first 200m or so. He had to work hard mid race and he was about to assume control before he was turned sideways, so with HAMILLSON out, he should find it a little easier to get across. NIKOLI BALE (3) can be hit-or-miss early but he has the motor to win a race like this and if he can enter the first bend in the top three, he will make his presence felt. CARRY ON STAR (2) looks to be the value. She has turned in some handy performances since resuming and she has been beginning well, so with another good getaway, she should be in the firing line for most of the journey. BROTHER BEARING (4) is airborne, but he can be risky at box rise and he may get crowded.
