The Watchdog says
? : MY NAME’S JOE (8) was desperately unlucky here last Tuesday and he is expected to make amends today. He was desperate for the outside and kept bumping with the eventual winner and it cost him victory, so from the outside draw, he should get into the clear quickly and prove too strong in the run home.

? $5 Place – MEPUNGA LEGEND

? Must Watch Race ?

Mixed Grade 4/5

? Horsham ? Race 8
? Box 8 ? 485m ⏱ 6:19pm

TAB fixed odds: $2.80 Place (Top two finish required)

The Watchdog says ?: MEPUNGA LEGEND (8) is highly talented and he has finally come up with the outside draw. His box manners can be hit or miss, but he possesses a tremendous turn of foot. He runs into a few good ones, but he represents value for a top-two finish.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

It’s only a Mixed 4/5 but we should see a great battle between some serious up-and-comers. MONEY OWES (3) has turned in some mighty performances in his brief career and he appears to be still improving. He comes into this after a month off the scene, however he trialled well around Bendigo last week, so he should be primed for this assignment. ASTON ZIEBELL (7) lit up the clock when beating a star prospect here last Tuesday and with a clear run early, he can get the job done again. However, his box manners can let him down, so he may be under the odds. MEPUNGA LEGEND (8) is the value runner. He is better than his form indicates, and he likes to scout wide, so if there is bunching underneath, he can zip away through the bend.
