Dogs to follow

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of greyhounds to follow from around Victoria. You may even want to add them to your Blackbook account.

TIGER TIME
Breeding:
Nov ’18 Shima Bar x Nova Heart
Trainer: Kevin Ward, Mount Moriac
Record: 54 starts 17-7-10

Dale says:
“Burst on the racing scene with some fast provincial wins. Since then, he hasn’t replicated that form, but he appears to be winding back the clock and, after viewing his past few runs, he looks only one-to-two lengths off his brilliant best. If Tiger Time continues to race in the same sort of company he has been up against lately, I’m expecting him to knock up a few more wins, particularly if he can draw an inside box.”

Best traits:
Elite muster soon after box rise; racing with confidence
Ideal draw: Box 1
Ideal distance: 450m

“Tiger Time appears to be winding back the clock and looks only one-to-two lengths off his brilliant best.”

BODY HACK
Breeding:
Mar ‘19 Aston Dee Bee x Disco Bolero
Trainer: Alfred Debattista, Sedgwick
Record: 17 starts 7-2-3

Dale says:
“Really caught the eye when he led for a long way in a heat of the Bendigo Cup recently.  Can run elite early sectionals and is finishing his races off stronger. Body Hack has had just 17 race starts and with more improvement expected he should be knocking up plenty of wins around the provincial circuits for quite some time.”

Best traits:
Explosive early speed
Ideal draw:
Box 1 – yet has the box speed to overcome any draw
Ideal distance:
400m

“Body Hack can run elite sectionals and is finishing his races off stronger.”

GREYSYND SHOCK
Breeding:
Jan ’19 Bewildering x Greysynd Emma
Trainer: Michael Chilcott, Giffard West
Record: 35 starts 5-10-11

Dale says:
“Super consistent chaser who remarkably has finished in the top four placings in 31 of his 35 starts yet always appears to go around at good each-way value. Has recently made a successful transition from country class to city racing, having posted a smart 525m win at The Meadows along with an eye-catching placing there last Wednesday. Greysynd Shock is very versatile and I believe he can win from any distance ranging from 400m to 600m.”

Best traits:
Very versatile, can lead or come off the speed to win
Ideal draw:
Middle to wide draw
Ideal distance:
500m-600m

“Greysynd Shock has remarkably finished in the top four placings in 31 of his 35 starts yet always appears to go around at good each-way value.”
