Dogs to follow

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of greyhounds to follow from around Victoria. You may even want to add them to your Blackbook account.

DYNAMIC PRINCE
Breeding: Jan ’20 Dyna Double One x Peta Pistop
Trainer: Peter Presutto, Devon Meadows
Record: 5 starts 4-1-0

Dale says:
“At just 21 months old this youngster has caught the eye in all five of his race starts, winning four in brilliant fashion being placed in a heat of the Healesville Cup behind one of the best going around in Tiggerlong Tonk. His box manners can be a little tardy but with more racing he can improve in that area. Races with a maturity and a thirst that defies his age and he gives every indication that he will run out 500m. City success awaits him and if he stays fit and healthy, he can become a prolific winner around the racing circuit.”

Best traits: Keen chaser; brilliant mid-race speed.     Ideal draw: Box 1 in town / box 8 around country circuits.     Ideal distance: 450-520m

“Dynamic Prince races with a maturity and a thirst that defies his age and he gives every indication that he will run out 500m.”

PROPELLED
Breeding: Nov ‘19 Black Magic Opal x Veetee Saharrah
Trainer: Karen Pitt, Pearcedale
Record: 9 starts 3-2-2

Dale says:
“Burst on to the racing scene winning his first two starts in impressive style up the Healesville straight. Since then he has mixed his form and has found trouble in his races, particularly from wide draws. Desperate for the inside and he will be very much suited to Sandown Park’s 515m journey, particularly off an inside draw, where he can utilise his sharp railing ability and great turn of early speed.”

Best traits:
Keen railer; explodes soon after box rise     Ideal draw: Box 1     Ideal distance: 500m

“Propelled will be very much suited to Sandown Park’s 515m journey, particularly off an inside draw, where he can utilise his sharp railing ability and great turn of early speed.”

BEARISH
Breeding: Nov ’19 Fabregas x Zipping Emma
Trainer: Matthew Clark, Briagolong
Record: 2 starts 0-1-0

Dale says:
“Has had only the two starts and had absolutely no luck from awkward draws in both of those runs at Sale. On both occasions he found early bother but when out in the clear it has been evident that he has plenty of ability as he worked to the line strongly. Hailing from the strong Matthew Clark kennel, he is expected to break his maiden status sooner rather than later and can establish himself as a more-than-handy provincial sprinter.”

Best trait:
Mid-race speed     Ideal draw: Box 8     Ideal distance: 450m

“Bearish has found early bother in both his starts but when out in the clear it has been evident that he has plenty of ability.”
