No ‘lockdown restrictions’ for the aptly named Isolating at The Meadows today?
Well, expert form analyst The Watchdog has adopted a ‘safe protocol’, tipping no ‘social distancing’ between emerging talents Isolating (7 from 13 – 6 of past 8) v Don’t Tell Bluey (3 from 5) in a Grade 5 heat (525m) – Race 9, 2.50pm.
Isolating was a dominant Restricted Win (3-6 Wins) final winner over this track/distance last Saturday, while Don’t Tell Bluey’s three wins – all at Sandown Park – have been impressive.
Another interesting match-up will be exciting prospects Mirror Illusion (6 from 13 – 3 of past 3) v Plan Ahead (7 from 36 – dual G3 finalist) v Call Me Buster (7 from 17) – Race 2, 12.30pm.
And ‘keep an eye’ on Angela Langton’s classy litter brothers Keep It Black and Keep It Blue.
A dual G3 finalist and Pink Diamond Rookie Sprinter finalist, Keep It Black (10 from 33) is a potential star – Race 7, 2.07pm – while Invictus Rising (9 from 22) v G3 Warragul St Leger finalist Keep It Blue (9 from 35 – 2 of past 2) should be a bottler – Race 10, 3.07pm.
Meanwhile, at Ballarat tonight, it’s serious up-and-comers Indy Matilda (7 from 20 – 3 from 5 Box 1) v Eat My Dust (6 from 12 – 3 of past 4) – Race 6, 8.38pm. And the talking point may well be: who will be ‘eating dust’?
And, at Sale tonight, track specialist and The Horizon finalist Omega Dodge (11 from 41 – 11 from 34 Trk/Dst) is the headline – Race 6, 8.28pm.
Plus, two promising speedsters Dash Home (5 from 14 – 4 of past 4) v Enabler (3 from 14 – 3 from 6 Trk/Dst) provide the support act – Race 7, 8.48pm.
While Ashlee Terry chases a training double with ‘firebrands’ Pyrocumulus (11 from 37) – Race 8, 9.09pm – and Combust (4 from 9 – 3 of past 4) – Race 10, 9.48pm.
