New South Wales superstar ZIPPING KANSAS (5) makes his Victorian debut, and he comes here with enormous wraps. After carving out some scorching sprint wins at Wentworth Park, he stepped up to the 618m journey at Richmond and gave the track record a nudge when stopping the timer in a ridiculous 35.06sec. He then made his staying debut at Wentworth Park and won by a whopping 14 lengths in a scintillating 41.57sec. It is his first look at the track tonight, but he should have no trouble negotiating the turns and with a clear passage, a sub 41.40sec run could be on the cards. If he can continue to progress, he has the potential to be as good as recent staying phenoms TORNADO TEARS and SPACE STAR.
