Daily Mail: ‘Patty’ returns to Sandown Park

Premier Racing is being staged at Sandown Park this evening with 595m track record holder and G3 Speed Star 600m winner Collinda Patty running for the first time since September 15 in a Grade 5 515m race.

G1 Topgun champion and Sandown Park 515m track record holder Aston Rupee headlines the 515m Free For All with the promising Levitation considered the biggest danger.

G2 Geelong Gold Cup winner Weblec Jet is the standout chaser in a Mixed 4/5 595m race, while Blazing Times v Shima Punga v G2 Ballarat Cup runner-up Special Talent should be a top battle in a Grade 4 515m event.

Dual G2 placegetter Hill Top Jonah highlights the 390m Free For All at Warrnambool tonight, while G2 Healesville Cup finalist Aston Merit and Aston Lamont clash in a 450m Restricted Win final.

The Watchdog says
? : ASTON WONDER (1) has been luckless in her past three and she is drawn to make amends tonight. There isn’t a lot of early pace in this event, so she should be able to punch through and hold a top two or three spot as they pass the post the first time and she is expected to prove too strong in the run home.

The Watchdog says
? : PLAGIARISE (3) has turned in some great performances of late and she should get a nice run through at the first bend and that will allow her to hit the scoreboard. WEBLEC JET (1) is racing with confidence and is drawn to lead throughout, while SIR CHAMP (4) is armed with a strong finish, so with an ounce of luck, he should charge home into the top three.

Multi price:
$3.90

? $2 Trifecta – 1 / 5,7 / 4,5,6,7 (33.33%)

? Must Watch Race ?

Grade 5

? Sandown Park ? Race 11
? 515m ⏱ 10:27pm

The Watchdog says ?: COLLINDA PATTY (1) resumes from a spell, and she is expected to fire fresh. ZAMBORA RICHIE (5) and OCTAVIA BALE (7) are both strong types and they can battle for the quinella spot.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

Star speedster COLLINDA PATTY (1) makes her much anticipated return to the track and if fully fit, she is expected to light up the clock. She has proven to be a little hit or miss early in her career; however, I’m expecting her to begin well fresh and at her best, she is capable of getting down to the 29.10sec mark. With the Australian Cup Carnival coming up, she should be able to use this assignment as a nice lead-up. ZAMBORA RICHIE (5) and OCTAVIA BALE (7) are both racing with confidence and are strong types, so they are the likely types to fill the placings.
