However, The Watchdog believes dual G1 champion Tiggerlong Tonk – runner-up in the Topgun – can win consecutive Shootouts.
The unbeaten Wow She’s Fast, Aston Fastnet, Koblenz and Fernando Bluey feature in the final round of Melbourne Cup preludes, while G1 Topgun Stayers winner Gypsy Wyong is also in action this evening.

Last year’s Group 3 Shootout winner TIGGERLONG TONK (7) just continues to deliver, and he looks the likely leader. If the inside division bunch up, he may be off and gone down the back and that could be the difference. Group 1 winner LAKEVIEW WALTER (1) and McCOOLY’S LAD (5) are both genuine stars, but they are going to need a lot of things to go their way for them to score.
