FastTrack digital records replace weight cards

To reduce handling of documents at races and trials, GRV Stewards will use the last start weight recorded in the greyhound’s FastTrack record instead of a physical weight record card, effective from 9 April 2020.

This weight is also printed on the kennel ticket for each event. Participants must check the kennel ticket weight is correct as this is the official weight recorded in FastTrack.

Participants should still keep a physical weight record card for each greyhound and will need to produce it if requested for recording endorsements and satisfactory trials.

Greyhound identification cards will still be needed during kenneling but the handler must display it to Stewards rather than hand it over.

GRV CEO Alan Clayton said the new process was in line with the Chief Health Officer’s advice around social distancing.

“The more we can reduce physical contact between people at the track, the better we can protect our participants and care for our dogs,” Mr Clayton said.
