Vale Robert “Bob” McCurdy

Well known industry figure Robert ‘Bob’ McCurdy, passed away last week.

He was a long time director at the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club from 1989 until 2010. He was made a Life Member in 2004.

He loved the sport, both track racing and coursing.

He was also a former GRV Steward who progressed to Chief Steward.

He was a close mate of famous Sandown personalities Mick Gibilisco and the late Geoff Dawson.

The funeral will be held on Friday, 15 May at 1:00 pm at Jonathan Hepner, 199 Ormond Road, East Geelong. It’ll be followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 pm at East Geelong Golf Club, 401 Eastern Park Circuit, East Geelong.
