Metro clubs set temporary unplaced prizemoney for Mondays, Wednesdays

In support of participants facing rising travel costs to race meetings, Sandown GRC and the Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association (MGRA) will introduce $30 prizemoney for greyhounds finishing 5th through 8th at all Monday and Wednesday race meetings over the next six weeks.

The primary aim of this initiative is to provide additional financial support to industry participants, with the anticipated added benefit of supporting nominations and sustainable field sizes at second-tier metropolitan meetings.

The temporary payment structure will be delivered through the FastTrack system, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process within the existing GRV prizemoney payment framework.

The initiative will run for a six-week period, commencing at Sandown from next week and concluding on Wednesday 27 May at The Meadows.
