Strong Numbers for Bendigo

While many of Victoria’s sprinting stars are tackling the Adelaide Cup and Million Dollar Chase this weekend, there’s still plenty of numbers and depth to Saturday’s heats of the Sportsbet Bendigo Cup.

The runner of most interest is undoubtedly Pass The Buck, last year’s Phoenix favourite has had just five starts since February and didn’t race at all in September.

He trialled at Bulli aiming to progress to the Million Dollar Chase Regional Qualifier but didn’t pull up perfectly forcing Anthony Azzopardi to abandon those plans.

He’s drawn box 1 in heat 5.

Some other notable names throughout the heats are Vincent Bale, Zeus Thunderbolt, Matt Loch, Mile A Minute, Unleash In Miami and Aston Fantastic.

New South Wales trainer Peter Lagogiane has three greyhounds in the heats who are all regular winners in their home state – we’ll get the latest from him on RSN’s Grey Areas from midday on Friday.

Catch extended coverage of Bendigo Cup heats on Sky Racing Active with Nathan Rooney and myself, who will be linking up with Dave Carlson and Nathan Grech at Wentworth Park for city qualifiers of the Million Dollar Chase.
