In case you missed it – Rejuvenate, Lunar Star and Plaintiff

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of runs from around Victoria that have caught the eye over the past fortnight.

#1 REJUVENATE (Box 2)
Breeding:
Nov ‘20 Hooked On Scotch x Zall Good
Trainer: Paul Brown, Burramine
Record: 1 start 1-0-0

Dale says: Having his first race start and backed into $1.40 favourite, Rejuvenate turned in one of the fastest runs you will see by a debutant. In a display of pure speed and strength, this highly promising speedster recorded a mind blowing 21.42sec in an emphatic performance, scoring by nine lengths and running just two lengths off the 385m track record of Aston Flame. Rejuvenate is certainly one to add to your Watchdog Blackbook.     Results

#2 LUNAR STAR (Box 2)
Breeding: Jan ‘19 Space Star x Shiny Bright
Trainer: Robert Britton, Lara
Record: 69 starts 8-10-14

Dale says: Not only was this one of the runs of the fortnight, but the race was one of the most exciting finishes you will see. After challenging for the early lead, Lunar Star found bother and was shuffled back to the rear. With the field tightly packed down the back straight, she balanced up and went into overdrive, circumnavigating her way past her rivals and powering home to record a thrilling victory.     Results

#3 PLAINTIFF (Box 4)
Breeding: Jul ‘20 Zambora Brockie x Appointed
Trainer: Jason Thompson, Pearcedale
Record: 22 starts 12-5-0

Dale says: For pure time standard, it’s hard to ignore the performance of star sprinter Plaintiff. After a smart beginning, the Jason Thompson speedster quickly assumed control to take up the early running. With one of the fastest provincial sprinters in Zigzag Cabang camped on his heels it appeared race on, however Plaintiff displayed unrivalled mid-race speed and put a gap on his rivals to record 24.67sec over the 450m, just 0.01sec outside of the track record held by Mr. Audacious.     Results
