In case you missed it

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of runs from around Victoria that have caught the eye over the past fortnight.

#1 GO BANG (Box 6)
Breeding: Sep ’20 Mepunga Blazer x Riviera Cruz
Trainer: Matthew Clark, Briagolong
Record: 4 starts 2-1-0

Dale says: “As the race caller said, Go Bang “almost went down on his nose after box rise” and was a clear last. However, once balanced he showed great track sense and ducked down to the inside and took advantage of a saloon passage mid-race to rattle home hard up against the rail to score this brilliant last-to-first victory.”     Results

#2 DECIMATE (Box 7)
Breeding: Feb ’20 Aston Dee Bee x Speculate
Trainer: Jason Thompson, Pearcedale
Record: 28 starts 13-3-5

Dale says: “After a steady beginning, Decimate showed a great turn of foot and, although pressured early, he showed good tenacity to maintain a forward position. Turning for home he was pushed wide and was giving some smart types a start, but he dug deep and rattled home to score this top-shelf victory.”     Results

#3 OVERFLOW LISA (Box 1)
Breeding: Mar ’19 Rippin’ Sam x Vicki Keeping
Trainer: Robert Camilleri, Lara
Record: 74 starts 19-15-13

Dale says: “Contesting a strong Grade 5 600m event, Overflow Lisa showed great early speed to take up the early running but, with a lap to go, she was pressured strongly by smart sprinters Keep It Black and Rapaki Rocks, clipping the heels of the latter and losing serious ground. Her winning chances appeared all but lost, however once balanced she went into overdrive again and powered home to record this impressive victory.”     Results
