Group 2 Ballarat Cup Final

? Ballarat ? Race 8
? 450m ⏱ 9:27pm

The Watchdog says ?: Great race and I think either Group 3 Provincial Plate winner HENNESSEY (1) or three-time Group 2 country cup champion FERDINAND BOY (7) can hit the first turn in front and whoever can find the top should get the cash. Group 2 Warragul Cup winner ROBBIE ROTTEN (3) and Group 2 Shepparton Cup winner SUBSTANTIAL (5) are both very powerful and must be included for second.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

It’s a shame that excitement machine MR. AUDACIOUS (4) has been scratched, but we are still left with an elite line-up and FERDINAND BOY (7) looks a great chance to go back to back. He has shown a return to his brilliant best in recent weeks and if he can reproduce his 6.45sec sectional from last Friday night, he should be right in the mix as they head into the bend. ROBBIE ROTTEN (3) was huge when second to MR. AUDACIOUS in his heat and he can dial up the pressure mid race. HENNESSEY (1) has a tremendous record here and from this draw and although one of the slower heat winners, he turned in one of the more impressive performances. He missed the kick and found some trouble before hitting the line hard to snatch victory in the shadows of the post. SUBSTANTIAL (5), COMPLIANCE (6) and DO IT (8) will all need some luck in running.
