G3 Silver Bullet finalist Xavien Bale is the standout chaser in a Mixed 3/4 525m event, while Osprey Phantom v El Cazador v Sambar Chief should be an entertaining Grade 5 600m race.

G2 Bendigo Cup finalist Lots Of Chatter headlines a Mixed 4/5 450m race at Ballarat this evening, while prolific winners Rocket Boy and Hazey Roy (won four straight) also clash.

Camulos contested a heat of the Group 1 Melbourne Cup and is lining up at Cranbourne tonight, while track specialist Coolant is hoping to regain the winning feeling.

The Watchdog says ? : MEPUNGA WEB (8) is on the improve and looks ideally drawn out wide today. There are a couple of runners underneath who have good early burn and they will move to the inside, so that should allow him to avoid bother at the first bend and a top-three finish looks likely. DEMON FLYER (1) found bother when trying to cross here last Wednesday and he didn’t have a lot of luck in running throughout, so from the good draw, he should be able to punch through and hold the top at the bend and run a big race.

The Watchdog says ?: WEBLEC BLAZER (7) is obviously the faster of the two fancied runners overall, however he will be giving TITAN BLAZER (5) a big head start and with the leader expected to carve out around 29.80sec, they are going to have trouble reeling him in.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:

Thrilling match-up with the gifted WEBLEC BLAZER (7) looking to atone for some costly performances in recent months. His box manners can let him down, but we all know what he is capable of, and he will be suited by the small line-up. However, he can’t afford to make too many mistakes with the exciting TITAN BLAZER (5) engaged. He had been a little disappointing in town of late, however he regained some confidence with two commanding Geelong wins, and he will set a cracking pace. If ‘Weblec’ gets a look at them mid race, he should prove too strong but I’m expecting him to find some bother and ‘Titan’ should be able to dart away off the back.
