In case you missed it

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of runs from around Victoria that have caught the eye over the past fortnight.

#1 KRAKEN CANDY (Box 7)
Breeding: Apr ’19 Barcia Bale x Kraken Falsh
Trainer: Helen Eyles, Murchinson
Record: 27 starts 7-4-2

Dale says:
“Was the popular elect in betting and favourite followers experienced a roller coaster ride when Kraken Candy turned in this mighty performance. After a fast start she found herself in a threatening position early but was severely checked and within the twinkling of an eye, victory looked beyond her. However, she managed to quickly get balanced again, hooked to the outside and made up a heap of ground to fly home and record this amazing win.”     Results

#2 LINE OF QUALITY (Box 5)
Breeding: Oct ’18 Kinloch Brae x All Quality
Trainer: Darryl Thomas, Sawyers Gully
Record: 21 starts 12-2-1

Dale says: “This breathtaking last-to-first win by Line Of Quality in a heat of the Group 1 Bold Trease was, ironically, won in the same fashion that the greyhound this race is named after was famous for. Showing his usual lack of early speed, the New South Wales star was a distant last, but with a lot of shuffling up front he quickly worked his way into a stalking position and, once he found the front, he was never going to be beaten. He recorded a comprehensive victory by 8.5 lengths in a smart 41.72sec.”     Results

#3 CUSTOM ROOF (Box 4)
Breeding: Apr ’18 Barcia Bale x Glass Roof
Trainer: Shelly-Anne Warde, Kyabram
Record: 23 starts 8-2-3

Dale says:
“Well supported favourite who showed great heart and determination in this effort to score. After starting slowly, a desperate attempt to get to the inside rail saw Custom Roof find bother. Having spotted the leaders a healthy start, once balanced he exploded along the inside rail to power home and claim the winner’s cheque after never looking like a winning chance.”     Results
