Daily Mail: ‘Tucker’ hoping to dodge ‘Omega’ at Sale

G3 Great Chase winner Dr. Tucker resumes at Sale tonight, but he is facing track specialist Omega Dodge and exciting kennelmate Dr. Slats.

The promising Lakeview Max is having his first run since February, while G1 Australian Cup placegetter Lakeview Cruiser is also in action.

Aston Latham, Hello George and Duncan all love the straight track at Healesville, while G3 finalist Aston Ulysses lines up at Sandown Park.

First
?:
Win – ROYAL COLLINDA
? Healesville ? Race 1 ? Box 1 ? 350m ⏱ 11:02am
TAB fixed odds: $1.70 Win

Second
?: Win – JACK OUT
? Healesville ? Race 2 ? Box 2 ? 350m ⏱ 11:19am
TAB fixed odds: $1.70 Win

Third
?: Win – SODA SUCCESS

TAB fixed odds: $1.75 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539204/race/2

The Watchdog says
? : ROYAL COLLINDA (1) resumes from a spell, and he trialled impressively here last week in readiness for this assignment. With a clean getaway, he should be scoring from the good draw. JACK OUT (2) was desperately unlucky here last week and he is expected to make amends today. SODA SUCCESS (2) blew away a similar line-up here last week and with the empty draw inside, he should get all the favours again.

?:
Win – SUPER FOOT
? Healesville ? Race 7 ? Box 8 ? 350m ⏱ 12:43pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.65 Win

Second
?: Place – TOYED
? Healesville ? Race 9 ? Box 8 ? 350m ⏱ 1:25pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.60 Place (Top two finish required)
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539203/race/9

The Watchdog says
? : SUPER FOOT (8) has raced extremely well here over both distances to date and he is ideally drawn out wide. He can miss the kick, but he gets into his work pretty quickly and he can put a gap on them mid race. TOYED (8) was ultra-impressive here last time and he exits the same draw today. He meets a good one in COLLINDA BEAST (1), however there may be some crowding on the inside and that may allow him to zip away in the middle stages.

? $3 Win – DR. TUCKER

? Sale ? Race 8
? Box 4 ? 440m ⏱ 8.22pm

TAB fixed odds: $2.25 Win

The Watchdog says ?:  He is one of the fastest chasers in the state and he is expected to fire after a month off the scene. He has raced very well here in the past and although he can be risky at box rise, he should get plenty of room to balance up and assume control at the bend.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:
Kennelmates DR. TUCKER (4) and DR. SLATS (7) should have a great duel up front, whilst track specialist OMEGA DODGE (5) will get a nice sit and be there to pounce as they turn for home. ‘Tucker’ demonstrated his elite talents with a breathtaking 23.38sec Bendigo Cup heat win in October. With an average beginner drawn on his direct outside he should get plenty of room. ‘Slats’ is the new kid on the block and although costly last week, he’s capable of making amends. He isn’t as gifted as his kennelmate, but he is more reliable at box rise, so if he reaches the bend in front, he’ll prove hard to catch.
