?Must Watch Race?

Mixed 6/7 Final

The Watchdog says ? : Star prospect HIGH JEWEL (8) should lead throughout. NIGHT WONDER (1) has the good draw, while there are a few chances for third.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview ?:
HIGH JEWEL (8) has only had three starts, but she has recorded two breathtaking wins here and she appears to be the real deal. She carved out a ridiculous 25.48sec when winning her heat last Saturday night after going an eye-popping 6.30sec through the first marker. With another clean getaway, she should lead, score comfortably, and set the track alight again. It is unclear if she will be able to run 500m, however if she can,  I can’t wait to see what she can do around Sandown Park or The Meadows.

The Watchdog’s selections: 8 – 1 – 6 – 4

? $3 Multi

First
?:
Place – AMERICANO MISS
? The Meadows ? Race 5 ? Box 4 ? 525m ⏱ 7:57pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.10 Place
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539180/race/5

Second
?: Place – DENISE’S VISION
? The Meadows ? Race 10 ? Box 4 ? 525m ⏱ 9:42pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.10 Place
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539180/race/10

The Watchdog says
? : AMERICANO MISS (4) has turned in some great performances of late and with RIPPIN’ MEMPHIS (3) expected to spear the lids and move to the rail, she should get a nice cart across, and she can hit the scoreboard. DENISE’S VISION (4) should lead them up and I think she is a great winning chance, however the last 30m is a worry, so we have taken her to place in the multi.

Multi price:
$4.41

? $4 Win – PHOTO MAN
? Warragul ? Race 10 ? Box 1 ? 460m ⏱ 8:48pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.30 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539182/race/10

The Watchdog says
? : He runs into a couple of handy ones tonight, but he was brilliant when scoring here two runs back in a smart 26.07sec. He beat NIKE APACHE on that occasion who had every chance, and the track wasn’t playing fast that night, so the run was more like a 25.75sec run. JAZZ OPERA (2) will pour some pressure on early, but he should be able to hold her off at the bend and then boot away as they turn for home.

? $2 Win – DENISE’S VISION
? The Meadows ? Race 10 ? Box 4 ? 525m ⏱ 9:42pm
TAB fixed odds: $7.50 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666539180/race/10

The Watchdog says
? : Far better than her form reads and with limited early speed drawn inside, she should have no trouble crossing and leading at the bend. She has proven in the past that she is hard to get past when in the clear, so at that price she is worth an investment.
