Up-and-coming stars King Of Glory (6 from 11) and Xavien Bale (3^rd Cranbourne Winter Cup) are set to lock horns for the second week in a row at Horsham tonight.

King Of Glory scraped into tonight’s $3,145 final when running fourth behind Xavien Bale in last week’s fastest heat (WATCH), and time will tell if the former can reclaim the throne.

Tonight at Warragul, Luckie Karabitsakos is set to debut a number of half-siblings to reigning TAB Melbourne Cup winner Hard Style Rico, while later on the card an interesting battle looms with Dr. Tucker (G3 Great Chase) up against Massimo (11 from 25) and gifted multiple city winner Earn The Answers.

Pirates Patch (23 wins) is among the headline acts at Healesville today, while the super-consistent Chop Scotch (12 from 24) is the star attraction at Geelong.

The Watchdog says ?: Great line-up with an established star taking on two serious up and comers. KING OF GLORY (5) has continued to improve with each go around and he announced himself as a star of the future when scoring at Ballarat in a sizzling 25.10sec. He missed the kick in his heat run and then appeared to look a little lost through the first corner, so with a clean getaway today, he should be able to settle in the top two and he is expected to handle the first turn a lot better today. ZIPPING WALTER (3) has been a gun chaser for some time now having won 23 of 74 and he was far from disgraced in his heat placing last week. With minimal speed drawn on his inside, he should have no trouble crossing and finding the rail initially, and he is extremely hard to get past when out in front. XAVIEN BALE (7) is another likely prospect, and he was dominant here last week, winning his heat in 27.43 (Best). He exited a rails draw in his heat, so with the abundance of pace in this line-up, combined with a wider draw, he will need to do everything right at box rise. BLACK HAWK JET (6) and NENNA TEARS (8) are both talented types and they have the potential to cause an upset.

PATRICIA MAUREEN (3) can pounce on the lead in the second leg and will take a power of beating, whilst DAKAR (8) loves a wide draw and will pour the pressure on mid race. NINJA GIRL MIA (2) is a reliable beginner and is very well graded so a top three finish is on the cards. SAINT MAC (7) will appreciate the smaller line-up and drop in class, so with an ounce of luck early he should figure prominently. DR. TUCKER (8) is an all-star, but he does take on a few smart types, so a top two finish is a better option.

Prior to that he recorded blistering Geelong and Ballarat wins and, on each occasion, he showed a dynamic turn of speed soon after box rise. He missed the kick and got lost through the corner in his heat last week, so with a clean getaway he can settle in the top two and I expect him to navigate the corner a lot better this time around.
