Sublime talent to return to his devastating best

Following a run of four straight defeats, 25-month-old sensation Aston Fastnet is set to explode at Cranbourne tonight, according to The Watchdog.

Check out the form expert’s comprehensive analysis of tonight’s Must Watch race, along with his daily $10 spend below.

MUST-WATCH RACE: Cranbourne To Sandown (1-4 Wins) Heat 1

ASTON FASTNET ? The Clock

? Cranbourne ? Race 5 ? Box 3 ? 520m 8:08pm

Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565711068/race/5

The Watchdog says ? : ASTON FASTNET (3) is one of the sport’s brightest talents and he will be looking to atone for his luckless runs of late. In March he showed the racing world his true ability when scoring at Ballarat in a blistering 24.78sec, and he followed that run up with a dynamic 29.11sec Sandown Park win. Since then, he has continually found trouble and has not been able to recapture that type of form. With an even getaway tonight, he should be able to pounce on the lead and, once in the clear, the clock could be in serious trouble. His main danger appears to be the in-form GOLDEN RATIO (1), who has turned in some great performances at Sandown of late. She will scrape the paint from the outset, so she will be a nice anchor in exotic bets behind the top elect.

The Watchdog says ? : MR. SPEAKER (1) was brilliant at Ballarat last time and he will appreciate the smaller line-up again, so there should be no excuses. ALARM RESPONSE (1) is expected to lead and, even if FRACTURED (3) is close enough mid race to reel him in, he should hold on for a top two finish. AMELIA ELLA (1) is suitably graded in this event and she will be prominent throughout from a favourable draw.

Multi price: $2.80

? $2.50 Win – LALA JUNIPER
? Bendigo ? Race 4 ? Box 1 ?425m ⏱ 3:57pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.30 Win
Form

The Watchdog says ? : She does not have a great strike rate, but she has shown a lot of improvement in recent weeks and with her smart early speed, she is expected to make every post a winner. There is not a lot of depth in this event, and she can get down to the 24.10sec mark, that would be enough to win this.

? Cranbourne ? Race 5 ? 520m ⏱ 8:08pm        ***Must Watch Race***

The Watchdog says : ASTON FASTNET (3) is a ridiculous talent, and he will appreciate the big drop in class tonight. GOLDEN RATIO (1) is a keen railer and has been racing with confidence of late, so with an even getaway she can work into the minor money.

? $2.50 Place – TYBALT BALE
? Ballarat ? Race 5 ? Box 7 ?450m ⏱ 8:18pm
TAB fixed odds: $1.70 Place
Form
?  https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/565711067/race/5

The Watchdog says ? : He has been racing without luck of late and he is much better than his form indicates. He is just an average beginner but he likes to stay wide and he should be able to utilize his dazzling mid-race pace to work his way into contention as they turn for home.
