Greyhound Racing Victoria Statement

Greyhound Racing Victoria Board Deputy Chair, Greg Miller, has resigned from his position on the Board, effective immediately.

Mr Miller’s resignation follows a breach of the Greyhound Racing Victoria Gambling Policy.

The policy prohibits any GRV staff, executive and Board members from gambling at any time on greyhound racing.

The breach, which was a single bet, was uncovered during the annual audit of gambling activity undertaken by the organisation every February for the preceding year.

Mr Miller has apologised for his actions.

“I understand that my one-off inadvertent action in January 2020 of betting on an interstate greyhound race went against the policy and I have resigned because of this.”

“Greyhound racing has, and always will be, an important part of my life and I will continue to support the sport as an individual going forward,” said Mr Miller.
