First reserve Spearhead has gained a start in tonight’s $45,000 Group 2 TAB Warrnambool Cup (450m) following the scratching of Security Code, who has succumb to an achilles injury.

Spearhead will go into Box 8, a draw he has had on four ocasions for one win and three minor placings.

Trained by Jeff Britton, Spearhead is currently a $26 chance with TAB, with The Watchdog describing him as a powerful type with place claims.
