Without A Trace snowballs into Fireball final

Without A Trace snowballed her staying potential with a magnificent ‘700’ metre debut in tonight’s Fireball heats at The Meadows.

The race was done as soon as she took over in the early stages. She went on to win by six lengths in a time of 42.74 – the fastest of the three heats.

Lanfranco won the opening heat by getting past Fade To Black in the closing stages.

The final heat saw Ella’s Babe make it a double for Team Ennis with a spectacular last-to-first performance – if you didn’t see it, scroll down and do yourself a favour. Late Night News was runner-up and was also impressive.

It sets up a very good final of the Fireball next Saturday which should see Without A Trace open and start as the favourite.

Lanfranco (5) defeats Fade To Black (8) and Ethanol Water (7)

Without A Trace (3) defeats Copper Rush (1) and Panama Rhode (8)

Ella’s Babe (7) defeats Late Night News (2) and Henry Intention (4)
