Precious Hope is a winner of seven races from 12 starts, all of which have been at the Rockhampton track.

“Trainer Darren Taylor thinks that she is a big chance tonight. She hasn’t missed a place yet and she ran down a Group race finalist in the fastest heat last week,” Syndications Manager George Farrugia said.

A win in the Group 3 $20,000 Rockhampton Cup for Precious Hope will not only be a first for her but a first for the National Greyhound Draft.

“There will be some excited owners if she wins,” Farrugia said.

“The messages we have received from owners – many of whom are first timers – has been amazing.”

The Rockhampton Cup is race 8 tonight and will jump at 9.32pm Victorian time.

“A Group race victory would be the icing on the cake of what has already been a fantastic year for the National Greyhound Draft.”
