THE TWOS DO IT FOR ANZAC DAY

‘Two for Two-up’ was again a feature of the greyhound race meetings held on ANZAC Day 2024, when every winning dog wearing rug number two attracted a club donation of $50 to the RSL’s ANZAC Appeal, to be matched by GRV.

Across the day, there was a total of eight winners in the black and white at Warrnambool, Warragul, Sandown Park and Shepparton, which means a total donation of $800 from the clubs and GRV combined.

Winners to add to the tally were Burra Brice and Caveman at Shepparton; Magic Muffin at Sandown Park; Go Astray at Warragul, and four in Warrnambool; Varsity Bale, Myall Mate, Anna You Pest and the Jason Sharp trained Morton, in heat four of the Warrnambool Cup.

The Tommy Shelby-sired G1 Gold Bullion and G2 Queensland Derby winner was later drawn in box three for next week’s G2 final.
