The sport is saddened by the recent passing of industry stalwart, Marg Thomas, at age 92.
She was involved in greyhound racing for her whole life. Much of that time was served at the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club and was president for six years. In 2004 she received the Ken Carr Medal – the highest award for excellence within the Victorian greyhound racing industry.
She was inducted to the Victorian Hall of Fame in its inaugural year (2009). She was the only woman of the 23 people who were initially inducted.
A well known skillset of hers was producing presentation rugs for feature race winners which she did for decades.
