BEST
Race 8, Paw Zuri (1)
Her record from the draw is superb and she will get a favour early, Lightning Speed (2) will begin fast and leave plenty of room on the rail. That helps Paw Zuri and should make things awkward for the others. Most importantly, she’s also fast enough to win the race.
NEXT BEST
Race 6, Nigel Devere (3)
It’s a tough race but he’s a potential leader and if he does he’s a big chance to win. The inside draw is important and he has good form at the track. I think the favourite Vista Weird (2) is vulnerable given he’s likely to be outpaced early and want to push wide on the track.
VALUE
Race 9, Paw Monet (3)
Every chance to burn forward and lead this race for a very long way. She’s not strong, so the likes of Accredited (1) and Paw Damon (7) will be eating the margin late. At $7 she’s a good each-way hope, weighted towards the place.
WORTH THE RISK/TAKE ON
Race 7, Goblin (1)
She was impressive last week but in my eyes this step up to 600m is a serious test, the indicators don’t light up suggesting it’s up her alley. She can be hit or miss at the start, you don’t want to miss on this 600m bend start. At odds on I think there’s plenty of risk attached.
