It’s a pretty tame meeting at The Meadows tonight, which is to be expected with the superstars of Victorian greyhound racing at Sandown Park last Thursday.
The best race is probably Race 4, despite in being a Grade 5 its quality is solid.

BEST
Race 9, Paw Monet (7)
This draw is fine as it’s a natural area of the track for her. With room, which she should get, can whip around them early and lead. She’s not super strong but doesn’t need to be against these. Deserves a city win and tonight looks like a good chance to achieve it.
NEXT BEST AND VALUE
Race 4, Zipping Fiyero (7)
It’s a good field but he’s racing well and over the odds at an opening price of $9. He’s got enough speed to be a part of the battle early and enough strength to be in it late. Paw Damon (6) is a slow beginner, so it gives Fiyero initial room to get going. More than happy to be on his side at the quote.
WORTH THE RISK/TAKE ON
Race 8, Paw Carver (5)
On raw ability he’s good enough to win but the speed map looks very average for him. I can’t see how he’s going to get a pleasant run early. He’s strong, but I’m not convinced he’s strong enough to pick some of these up late. Happy to be against him.
