Minister for Racing, the Hon. Anthony Carbines, has appointed Martine Jager to the Board of Greyhound Racing Victoria, effective 30 May 2026.

Ms Jager brings extensive executive leadership experience across the Australian financial services sector, including as Chief Executive Officer of ME Bank and senior executive roles with Bank of Queensland, Westpac, St.George Banking Group and National Australia Bank.

Her background spans retail banking, customer experience, marketing and digital transformation, with a strong track record leading large organisations and driving customer-focused change.

Ms Jager is also an Advisory Board Member with Maestro Talent and a member of Chief Executive Women.

GRV Chair Tom Salom said Ms Jager’s experience across complex, highly regulated industries would add valuable governance and strategic expertise to the GRV Board.

“We’re pleased to welcome Martine Jager to the Greyhound Racing Victoria Board,” Mr Salom said.

“Martine has an outstanding track record leading customer and organisational transformation across major Australian financial institutions.

“Her experience in digital innovation, stakeholder engagement and operating in complex, regulated environments will be a valuable addition as we continue to strengthen the industry’s focus on integrity, welfare and long-term sustainability.”

Mr Salom also welcomed the reappointments of two existing Board members for a further three years beyond 30 May 2026.

“Bill Buccilli and Lisa Tripodi have been wonderful assets on GRV’s Board, and their reappointment will support the ongoing stability and strong governance of the industry,” he said.
