We’re all itching for tonight’s meeting at Sandown Park, the opening night of the Trilogy featuring heats of the Sportsbet Sandown Cup, Sportsbet Harrison-Dawson and Sportsbet Sapphire Crown.

So we’re clear…

• With the awkward trio of heats for the Sandown Cup, 1st and 2nd from each heat will progress to next Friday’s final, as well as the two fastest 3rds
• The Sapphire Crown is restricted to female greyhounds only, those who finish 1st and 2nd in their heat will progress to next Friday’s final
• The Harrison-Dawson is restricted to male greyhounds only, those who finish 1st and 2nd in their heat will progress to next Friday’s final

The box draws for all three will be conducted at the track tonight, with the finals to be run next Friday May 22.

There’s been plenty of opinions flying around all week, but isn’t it going to be great to see it all unfold tonight. The action kicks off with the Sapphire Crown heats at 7.07pm, catch my thoughts before every race on Sky Racing 1.
