Grey Areas | Launching Pad heating up plus an SMS ‘machine’

We covered plenty of ground on today’s episode of Grey Areas with feature racing left, right and centre – as it always is on a congested feature race calendar.

It included a wrap of the entertaining action at Sandown Park last night, highlighted by Ross The Boss breaking the first split record over 595m. We touched on Monday’s Sportsbet Shepparton Cup heats, The Meadows on Saturday night, the two Group 1s in Perth as well as heats of the Country Classic at Royal Dubbo featuring stars Without A Trace and Magpie Hector.

There was also a sighting of a vintage ‘6 the brown’ rug at Traralgon trials on Tuesday.

We also rolled out our new text message line, giving people an addtional option to contribute and do so anonymously, which produced good traffic. Save ‘Grey Areas – 0458 675 485’ in your phone and get involved next Friday.

George’s tips for The Meadows on Saturday:
Race 2, Paw Winder (7)
Race 7, Ethanol Secret (4)
Race 11, Dash Par (6)

And the famous Obscure Outlay:
Hawthorn to win
Western Bulldogs to win
North Melbourne at the +10.5 line
