Rooney on RSN – Best Bets

Form expert Nathan Rooney saw them well last night at Shepparton.

His best bet, Ventura Bale won by 8L, next best Bern’s Ability Bern’s Ability ran 3rd, value tip Planet Ruler was runner-up paying huge odds the place, and he got the Quaddie which returned $319 for the $72 investment.

His attention turns to Warragul  tonight – see his specials below and hear his thoughts race-to-race on RSN with the first kicking off at 6.42pm.

Highly promising sprinter Verdi headlines tonight’s program in Race 8 – his last start win in 25.42sec is the 5th fastest performance in the past year. Nath says: “His win was awesome, a greyhound who looks destined for much greater heights and should continue on his winning way.”

Hard to split – Race 7, Mi Amigo Tequila (3), In Range (7)

Both racing in super form and look like they’ll settle on speed. Hard to separate them but I think the winner comes from this pair and you can shop around the $2 with a bundle bet.

Got The Lot is favourite (1), with similar ability, but he’s mapped to settle behind the other two, and he’ll need luck to pick them up and I don’t think there’s any value in his price.

Next Best – Race 5, Ace Of Pace (1)

First up for the Clark kennel and he looks ideally drawn, he should settle behind the initial leaders and be running them down late.

Best Value – Race 3, Motion Sensor (3)

He resumes tonight after a month off but has shown a lot of promise in his four starts so far. Should get a clean run from the draw and looks a good each way play.

Suggested Quaddie

1,6 / 6,5,1,4 / 3,7 / 7
