Why you should attend the Sportsbet Melbourne Cup

This Saturday is Sportsbet Melbourne Cup night at Sandown Park – the fourth of five massive Saturday nights of greyhound racing throughout November and December that make up the 2023 Sportsbet Dream Chasers Festival.

The Sportsbet Melbourne Cup is considered the pinnacle of greyhound racing worldwide, a moment when the absolute elite in the sport grace the track. They’re not just competing for a staggering $1 million in prize money; they’re chasing an unparalleled honour that sets hearts pounding and pulses racing.

Will the sport’s latest sensation BIG ENERGY land his first Group 1, or will another greyhound such as rising TIM ZOO land a knockout blow?

Across each night of the festival, we’re giving one lucky winner the chance to chase their dream and share in over $100,000 in cash and prizes.

It’s free to enter and all you have to do is scan the QR code at the Sportsbet tent before Race 5.

WATCH: YACHI BALE (4) comes from nowhere to win the 2022 Sportsbet Melbourne Cup, etching his name in the history books.

If your name is drawn you’ll be allocated a greyhound in a selected race, and if your dog wins, you’ll select a box to reveal your prize.

Five prize boxes remain unopened – and with a brand-new Mitsubishi Outlander and 3 x 10,000 cash prizes up for grabs, the odds couldn’t be better!

You must be on course to collect your prize.
