Cats & Zarbo too ‘zippy’?

TAB has come up with a ‘zazzy’ $2.80 AFL/Greys offer tonight.

Its cross-sports proposition is the Geelong Cats to defeat the GWS Giants in Semi-final 2 and country strike rate queen Zipping Zarbo to score at Bendigo.

The Cats received a 43pt hiding by Port Adelaide in a qualifying final last week, while the Giants scored a thrilling 1pt elimination final victory over the Swans.

Geelong, who looked a little slow against the ‘Power’, then flew directly to Perth from Adelaide to regroup.

Having spent most of the year at the top of the table, the Cats enter the match as favourite.

However, their record in recent finals is poor and Chris Scott will be looking to arrest the finals slump.

The Giants survived a last quarter onslaught from the Swans but have lost inspirational leader Toby Greene for his bump with an umpire.

Meanwhile, the Deb Coleman-trained Zipping Zarbo is TAB’s $1.80 favourite in a $1750 to-the-winner Mixed 4/5 (425m).

A G2 Warragul Cup finalist, Zipping Zarbo has won 28 races from 61 starts – including two from three over this track/distance with a flying 23.71sec PB. She’s also won seven of her past 14 starts.

The Geelong Cats vs GWS Giants clash commences at Optus Stadium, WA, at 7.50pm, while Zipping Zarbo is in Race 9 Box 6 at 9.45pm.

WATCH: Zipping Zarbo (3) produces a ‘flashy’ 25.20sec win at Ballarat on August 27.
