COOL, CALM & COLLECTED!

The Watchdog is cock-a-hoop about the quality of the GRV Vic Bred Maiden finalists at Shepparton.

But he’s singled out one in particular – Perfectly Poised, who he believes is bred to be a star.

She’s been placed at her only three starts and her dam, Zara’s Entity, won a G3 Cranbourne Classic and was an Adelaide Cup finalist – both in 2017.

“She likes to rail hard in her races and from a good draw, she should fire through and be in a prominent spot throughout,” The Watchdog said.

The expert form analyst expects the majority of finalists “will go on to great careers”, including Aston Wise, who is a daughter of former great and prolific producer Secret Spell.

“She’s another who is bred in the purple and came into this series with explosive Bendigo form.”

The Watchdog adds Off Centre is the “interesting runner and value”, while Miss Martina is closely related to a couple of G1 stars.

Check out The Watchdog’s extensive analysis of today’s ‘Must-Watch’ race, along with his best ‘Win’ and ‘Place’ bets in today’s edition of the Daily Mail.
